Why 2025 is worth working through properly

JAMB does not write a fresh syllabus every year. It rewrites questions around the same core topics, so a paper like 2025 is less a one-off test and more a sample of what the examiners keep coming back to. Work it carefully and you are not memorising 2025. You are learning the shape of the questions that will appear again.

Two candidates can both "do past questions" and get very different results. The one who checks the answer letter and moves on learns almost nothing. The one who reads why the correct option is correct, and why the option they were tempted by is wrong, builds something that transfers to a new paper.

Treat a past paper as a diagnosis, not a score. The questions you got wrong are a list of what to study next.

How to practise the 2025 paper

  1. First pass, untimed. Go subject by subject in Practice mode. Read every explanation, including on questions you got right, because getting it right by guessing is not the same as knowing it.
  2. Write down what you missed. Not the questions, the topics. Three wrong questions on the same topic is a study target.
  3. Second pass, timed. Around 25 to 30 minutes for a 40-question subject, and about 40 minutes for Use of English.
  4. Then sit a full mock. Four subjects, 180 questions, two hours, no pausing. That is the only way to find out whether your pace survives contact with the clock.

Do not stop at one year

One paper is a snapshot. Ten papers is a pattern. After several years of past questions you start recognising the same ideas with different numbers and different wording, which is exactly the feeling you want walking into the hall.

Practising JAMB 2025 inside the app

In JAMB Pro, open a subject and its past papers are listed year by year, 2025 included. A few things make the year-by-year approach work well:

  • Pause and resume. Stop a paper halfway and pick it up later at the same question.
  • An explanation on every answer, so a wrong answer teaches you something.
  • Offline once downloaded. Download the subject once and the 2025 paper works with no data at all.
  • Bookmarks for the questions you want to come back to.
  • Progress tracking, so you can see your accuracy per subject and spot the weak one.

All of it is free. There is no sign-up and no ads.

Frequently asked

How many JAMB 2025 past questions are there?

JAMB Pro holds 659 questions from the 2025 UTME, spread across 16 subjects. Use of English is the largest set because it carries 60 questions in the real exam while other subjects carry 40.

Are the JAMB 2025 questions free?

Yes. Every 2025 question in JAMB Pro is free, with no sign-up. Download the subject once and the paper works offline.

Should I practise JAMB 2025 or older papers?

Do both. Recent papers like 2025 show you the current style and difficulty, while older papers give you volume. JAMB reuses topics heavily, so working ten years of papers is what makes the patterns obvious.

Do the JAMB 2025 questions come with answers and explanations?

Yes. Every question carries a written explanation of why the correct option is correct, not just an answer letter. That is what turns practice into learning.
